Via ferrata it is the name used to describe the roads found in the high of Alps, where fixed cables are used for the protection and iron stairways to go up difficult (Another name is Klettersteig) sections. Originally, the roads ferrata were built in Italian Dolomites to allow the movements of the troops during First World War. When the war concluded, these protected roads passed at the hands of mountain guides.
A road ferrata is a route type to climb a mountain that with a permanently installed system of security, it offers to people without any type of experience in escalade and using a minimum of team; the opportunity to move through mountainous spectacular scenarios.
08:00hrs Departure from Cusco in Private Transport towards the sector denominated as Pachar in the Sacred Valley, already in the place we will begin with a talk of approximately 30, where we will receive instructions of security and recommendations on the part of the guide, we will put on the equipment and we will begin the climbing.
The ascent and descent of the Via Ferrata may last between 2 and 3 hours according to the rhythm and size of the group, as we go up the temperature will begin to descend, but we can take extra clothing in a small backpack, the descent is by a rappel of 100mts and a mixture of via ferrata and walking. After the activity, we will have time to enjoy a delicious box lunch with a very privileged view of the Sacred Valley and then take our transport back to Cusco, arriving around 16:00hrs.
