Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Trek | Lake Huamantay Trek

We put together these two natural wonders located in Cusco for our customers to be satisfied, the first day we will visit the Palccoyo rainbow mountain, an alternative to the classic Vinicunca rainbow mountain. This mountain is located at 4900 masl and it is not necessary to hike a lot to get there and enjoy its landscape, in addition, to this day it is not very busy so you can feel peace and enjoy the nature of this place to the fullest. On the second day, we will visit the wonderful Humantay Lagoon located at 4200 masl and characterized by having different colors according to the weather of the day. Join us in this great adventure of 02 days and enjoy beautiful landscapes.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO - PALCCOYO RAINBOW MOUNTAIN - CUSCO

07:00 am we will pass through the hotels of our clients to start a trip of approximately 2 hours to the town of Checacupe, here we will visit the town for a while and then continue to Combapata from where we will divert and continue on a road, in this We will be able to observe small local homes of the inhabitants, as well as see the famous South American camelids in their daily habitat and we will be able to enjoy the wonderful landscape. We will arrive at the skirts of the Palccoyo rainbow mountain and we will give a tour of approximately 2 hours, we will be able to observe the rainbow mountain and a forest of stones. Upon return we will enjoy our delicious lunch and then return to Cusco, we will be arriving at approximately 17:00 PM Double/Twin accommodation at the hotel El Puma or similar

DAY 2: CUSCO - HUMANTAY LAKE - CUSCO

4:30 am we will pass by the hotels of our clients for the beginning of this new adventure, this time we will go for 2 hours and 30 minutes towards the town of Mollepata, where we will make our stop to have breakfast, then we will continue for 1 hour and 30 more minutes until we reach Soraypampa, the starting point of our trek. After information from our guide, we will start this hike that will be approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach the Humantay Lagoon, you have to know that the start of the trek is flat but then it will be all ascent until the lake. Upon arrival we will enjoy the scenery and our guide will give us the necessary information, we will spend some time here and then we will return by the same road to Soraypampa, return in our transport to Mollepata to enjoy our lunch and then finally return to Cusco. We will be arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Customers who live in places less than 1000 meters high, we recommend that at least 2 to 3 days in Cusco to acclimatize before this tour.
In our shared services, we will pick up our clients from your hotel as long as you are in the center of the city.
In our shared services, at the end of the tour, we leave our clients in a place close to the Main Square, it is easier to return to your hotel by walking than to go on the bus, since the traffic is terrible. If your hotel is far from the city center, take extra cash to take a taxi.
The pick-up and arrival times are referential, this will depend on the traffic that can be found in the streets or the delay of other customers, our assistant will arrive on time at your hotel, but sometimes the transport could be delayed a few minutes.
