Explorer “Little Cusco”, one of the most important archaeological places of Urubamba Valley. In this Inca complex, you will find small buildings in stone and adobe, impressive views of the valley and Inca´s terraces.
CUSCO - TAUCA – CHINCHERO PASS – HUCHUY QOSQO - LAMAY
We pick up our passengers in their hotel in Cusco to Tauca town, here we meet our trekking guides and start the trek. We start on level terrain, and the landscape will be that of typical Andean valleys rich in corn, potatoes, barley, quinoa and others; we arrive to the highest point (4050m) surrounded by the grass of the Andean plateau known as "Ichu", with spectacular views of the Vilcabamba and Urubamba peaks.
In this point, we start to descend to the Ccauca ravine where we can see archaeological remains; we continue until find the remains of Inca bridge. Dscending to 3650 m, we arrive at Huchuy Qosqo, little town built by the Inca Wiracocha; we will witness a “kallanka” which is a construction of at least 40 meters long, stone and adobe buildings and large Inca terraces. Then we will go to the town of Lamay where we will take our transport back to Cusco.
