Meet some of the Amazon rainforest in Maniti Eco-Lodge! Located approximately 70 km downstream from the city of Iquitos, this tour is ideal for the traveler with little time but eager to have an encounter with the flora and fauna of the spectacular Amazon.
We pick up our passengers at the airport in Iquitos or hotel to go to the port city of Nanay (Bellavista), where the Nanay River meets the Amazon River. We will take our boat and we will go downstream about 70 km / 2 hours. During the trip, there is a great possibility to visualize the different fauna of the area, such as turtles, alligators, snakes, river dolphins and abundant fauna. We will arrive at our Lodge and then we will visit the Island of Los Monos, located about 15 minutes from the Lodge, we can interact and observe a variety of monkeys such as: Wooly monkey, squirrel monkey, masked monkey, monkey monkey and many more. Also, we will observe large anacondas, boas and other species of animals that can only be seen in the Amazon.
After the visit to Isla de Los Monos, we will enjoy a session of dolphin watching with fresh water and if we are lucky, we could have the opportunity to swim with them in the Amazon River. We will return to our lodge, and in the afternoon we will take a walk to see the nocturnal fauna. Overnight at Maniti Eco-Lodge.
Early in the morning, we start observing the sunrise over the Amazon River and then we will take a boat trip to see the animals first thing in the morning. We return to the lodge, have breakfast and embark on a fishing trip of piranha and other species of fish. We return to the lodge, have lunch and take our boat back to the city of Iquitos. Transfer to the hotel or airport.
