Lake Titicaca, one of the largest lakes in South America, where the Island of Los Uros, the Taquile Natural Island and the Amantani Island are located. Surrounded by a spectacular landscape, they make known the particular and interesting way of life of the people who live there.
Around 07:45 hrs, we look for our passengers in their respective hotels in the direction of the port of Lake Titicaca where we will board our boat and begin our tour. During the trip, we will receive information about the important points of Lake Titicaca, and after approximately 30 minutes we will arrive at the Uros Floating Islands, which is a group of surfaces built with "totora", an aquatic plant that grows in Lake Titicaca and it is used for the construction of roofs, walls and real estate; In this visit we can appreciate the inhabitants of the island, their customs and way of life.
Then we return to our boat, to go to the Island of Amantaní, where after 3 hours we will meet the family with whom we will spend our night. We will have the afternoon free to explore the area and before the end of the afternoon, we will take a short walk to the archaeological remains on the hill of Pachatata, and in this place we can appreciate the sunset of Lake Titicaca. We return to the populated center and we will have our dinner with our local family; finished the dinner, we will receive typical clothes to attend a folkloric party and dance with the native dances typical of the area, where we can dance with the local people dances typical of the area. After the party, about 2 hours later, we return to our family's house where we will spend the night.
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to our family and go to the dock for our visit to the Taquile Island. After approximately 1 hour of travel, we arrive at this, known for its beautiful fabrics, where its inhabitants elaborate by hand belts, gloves and typical garments of the area. We will enjoy a great view of the lake, after walking a beautiful path which is slightly inclined, and it is recommended to walk slowly since we will be at approximately 3900 meters.
After approximately 45 minutes, we will meet in the center of Taquile, where we will take a break and then visit the local museum where photographs showing important aspects of the Taquile community are displayed. After lunch, we will have free time to tour the island and later, we will return to the pier and take our boat to Puno, arriving around 3:30 p.m.
