ITINERARY

Day 1. Iquitos / Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge (A-C)

We look for our passengers at the airport in Iquitos or chosen hotel and transfer to the pier in the city in comfortable vehicle with access and exit ramp.

During the tour we will offer you a brief orientation of Iquitos, observing the main tourist places of this thriving and historic city of the Peruvian east.

We will arrive at the port where we will go to the lodge by boat. The boat has been conditioned to facilitate boarding and to enjoy the trip safely and comfortably.

You will navigate downstream along the Amazon River. The trip of approximately 45 minutes will allow you to appreciate a beautiful panorama in which the magnificence of the river makes its way through the exuberance of the jungle.

Arrival at the Amazon Sinchicuy Lodge, built in the native style with natural materials, is surrounded by trees, flowers and plants, a real tropical garden on high ground not flooded or "restinga", where varieties of birds and butterflies abound. A brief information on the rules that govern the sustainability of the Lodge and its surroundings will allow you to better understand the ways to make your stay and participation in ecotourism activities more rewarding.

Immediately a room equipped with the facilities you require will be available.

ECO-CULTURAL Circuit (Ecosystem of the Sinchicuy River Basin)

According to the weather, you will go walking or canoeing to "Nuevo Perú", place where the Yagua community lives, who in 1541 were discovered by Francisco de Orellana in his first exploration of the Amazon. In this tour, you can learn about their ancestral customs, value the clothing made with palm fibers and use the weapon that the Yaguas used to hunt, the "pucuna", better known as blowgun.

Lunch.

The Amazon Sinchicuy stands out for gastronomy based on products from the estuary and the fields (chacras). It consists of golden fish accompanied by cassava, beans, bananas, local sauce and local vegetables.

Then, we made a tour of the riverbank estate of Santa Maria de Ojeal, where you will appreciate what the inhabitants do every day: fruit orchards, extraction of sugarcane juice in an artisanal way, raising livestock, among others. You can share with the locals and contemplate their schools, churches, shops and their characteristic dwellings, as well as see the projects ecotourism products, which they have created for the sustainability of the population.

Night excursion

At night, the jungle and its inhabitants allow us to enjoy unique sounds and sensations. The guide will indicate the moment in which the excursion will begin around the Lodge and that will lead him to discover, secretly and by the light of a lantern, the mysterious world of insects, cicadas, praying mantis, etc. Also distinguish the songs of owls and "ayaymamas" that are interpreted as the language of fantastic beings in the local imagination. After enjoying your dinner, presentation of the local naturist (Shamán). Great connoisseur of the secrets of nature and its application for the treatment of evils of the body and spirit, Shamán will explain and demonstrate in the Logde about the properties and the use that some plants and roots have.

Likewise, if you wish, our staff will share with you moments of music and singing for a relaxing after-dinner that will lead you to the best of dreams. Overnight

Day 2. Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge / Fátima (B-A-C)

Between 05:00 - 06:00 hours, it is the opportune time to observe the different species of birds that can reach the community, while feeding on the river or the plantations of the place.

After breakfast your guide will take you by boat to the opposite side of the Amazon to explore the tropical rainforest following one of the "trails" or jungle paths. When crossing the Amazon you may have the opportunity to see the mythical river dolphins. Lunch box lunch.
