One of the deepest canyons in the world, after the Yarlung Tsangpo canyon, in China (5590m deep), is the Colca Canyon. Located in the region of Arequipa, Perú, it has a depth of 4160mts approximately; with a particular andean vegetation it is home to diverse animal species, among them the majestic Andean Condor, the heaviest and largest flying bird in the world.

DAY 1: AREQUIPA – COLCA

At 07:30 hrs approximately, we start the trip to the Colca Canyon. We will pass through the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas, where you can see majestic vicuñas, a South American camelid which is national symbol of Peru. We will make a stop in Patapampa at 4,800 meters above sea level, the highest part of the route, to observe the western mountain range and the volcanoes. At approximately 2:00 pm, we will arrive at our hotel and at the end of the afternoon, we will visit the thermal baths of Calera..

DAY 2: COLCA / AREQUIPA

Early in the morning, we will continue Early in Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will visit the viewpoint of the Cruz del Cóndor, where we can appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon and enjoy the flight of the Andean Condor. To return, we will visit the towns of Yanque, Pincholo and Maca.

After lunch, we will return to the White City of Arequipa where we will arrive approximately at 6:00 p.m. Or we have the option to transfer to Puno, it is necessary request it in advance.
